He got the idea of Kickstarter when trying to book a show for Jazz Festival. The idea came about when he got bothered that he needed to come up with the money without knowing the outcome of the show. Then he thought what if the people interest in the shows could be able to make the show happen if enough people want to go to the show.

He moved back to New York to pursue kickstarter and he made the decision because in New Orleans there wasn’t a tech community that he knew of that would be able to help his idea.

Perry started working with Charles because they needed his skills to make a dent in the start up. They needed his design experience to help mock up the site. They would hand draw what the site could look like.

In 2006 he got the first money spent on the idea. He had an investor give him a small amount of money to spend on service, developer, coder, and all the other necessities.

He helped figure out what kind of technology they should be using and helped them find developers for the company. He also helped them review the code the developers came up with.

Perry launched and had his first event in 2009 and it just showed that he was able to pursue his goal of the course of many years and he was determined to make his idea come true.

Kickstarter encourages their customers to use environmentally friendly products and resources to sustain the environment and they also encourage people to buy on eco friendly warehouse and things like that.
