- Los sustantivos en singular nombran un solo ser u objeto. Mesa, silla o lápiz.

- Los sustantivos en plural nombran varios seres u objetos. Mesas, sillas o lápices.

Para formar el plural de los sustantivos procederemos así:

- Si el sustantivo acaba en vocal, se añade -s.

- Si el sustantivo acaba en consonante, se añade -es.
- y si el sustantivo acaba en "z "se cambia la terminación por "ces".
