My first memory of dancing was when i was like in the third grade at family barbecues doing the stanky leg and “bobbing”. I dance because sometimes if i have a bad day i get this weird burst of energy and my mind does freakout  when i make random movements. I just have fun with it. My favorite memory of dance is doing merengue and bachata and cumbia with my grandma’s sister when she came to visit in January. 
I dance because it’s a way for me to be vulnerable and a way for my body to express how i feel when I can’t put it into words. 
I dance occasionally at home when I have the space.
