William Taft Leadership C Organization B Professionalism C Contributions C. Leadership:Taft was the 27th president of United States. Chief justice of the United States. Taft gets the C because the citizens did not think Taft did a good job as president because of his personality. Taft got higher than a D because he did a great job as Chief Justice because it was not all about press. OrganizationTaft got the B because he was very organized with an carrying on Roosevelt's trust busting and broke up nearly twice as many as his predecessor. He strengthen the interstate commerce commission and it's ability to negotiate rates with the railroads. What separated from Taft getting the B instead of the A was because he signed the tariff bill raising taxes. ProfessionalismTaft gets a C for professionalism because he had good and bad moments. Taft was an effective administrator, a distinguished jurist, he preferred laws compared to politics. He disliked complaining and was a poor politician. Progressives were pleased "Roosevelt has cut enough hay, Taft is the man to put it into the barn." But again he deserved the C because he was accused of failing to carry out Roosevelt's conservation. ContributionsTaft again deserves a C because he made huge mistakes, the first one was Taft's special congressional session revised the tariff down the Republican Party how to persuade Taft to get back on tariff reform. But other mistake was dismissing Roosevelt's friend Cheif Foster of the U.S. Gifford Pinchot. And explosion between them tore the Republican Party apart and drove a wedge between Taft and Theodore Roosevelt. What makes Taft not fail is that the Dollar Diplomacy which formed against American foreign policy to further its aims in Latin America and East Asia through economic power by guaranteeing foreign countries.

Leadership: President Woodrow Wilson was a great leader of the nation and people followed in his lead and beloved in him to successfully run America. Therefore, I graded his leadership skills a B. Wilson showed his strong, ambitious personality when he declared war on Germany. Although he had wanted to remain neutral, after the The Sinking of the Lusitania in 1915, Wilson decided it was best to defend our country and fight back. This leadership over the American army showed how Wilson was a strong leader who stood up and advocated for what he believed was right. Wilson also showed his strong leadership skills when he created a peace league called the League of Nations in which he wanted to ensure peace for the world, despite the war going on. This hope for peace gave the public an idea of what this war would result in and gave them hope to a better country and nation. Although the League of Nations was proved ineffective when Wilson failed to compromise the treaty of Versailles, therefore resulting in Wilson's grade of a B. A third way Wilson showed his leadership skills was through his intelligence and skill in spoken word. Wilson's speeches always moved his audience and gave them a sense of safety and hope for a better world. Lastly, Wilson portrayed his great leadership skills laying the cornerstone regarding the relationship America had with the world during world war 1. The public believed in Wilson and his ability to create a strong, civil relationship with the rest of the world, and this is exactly what he did.

Professionalism: President Woodrow Wilson was very professional in office, however he did not exactly connect with the people on a personal level during his time elected. Therefore this is why I gave Wilson the score of a B-. People did not exactly admire Wilson for his personality, yet they admired him for his intelligence, and masterful skills at oratoring. However, Wilson was outwardly cold to the public and did not have a charismatic and charming personality towards the people. In his private life, Wilson was remembered to be funny and have a sense of humor, but this did not emanate to the citizens of America during his election. Wilson was also known to not be the best at small talk with the public created a bit of a divide between each other. His great skills in speeches was what Wilson was known for and this is what America admired about his during his time in office. His speeches and way with words was clearly interpreted by the public and they could tell this pressing knew what he was talking about, and felt secure with his decisions as their president. Overall, Wilson was not a president to be forgotten, but he is not as re,where'd of some of the other presidents among his time.

Contributions: Wilson contributed a great deal to the country during his presidency and was thought to had make just as much reforms, if not more, as Roosevelt and Taft. Therefore I graded him an A for his contributions to the country. One major contribution Wilson made was the creation of the Federal Reserve System. With this system, Wilson planned to manage the US currency in which he persisted to do since 1913. This system maintained the American system until this day. Another way Wilson contributed his knowledge and leadership to the country was through the creation of the federal trade commission. Wilson pushed through other progressive reforms to give a greater voice to the average citizen, restrict corporate influence, and reduce corruption in the federal government. Among his most notable achievements were laws on banking and tariff reform and the creation of the Federal Trade Commission. Wilson pushed through other progressive reforms to give a greater voice to the average citizen, restrict corporate influence, and reduce corruption in the federal government. Among his most notable achievements were laws on banking and tariff reform and the creation of the Federal Trade Commission. Wilson also limited power from monopolies by implementing a national reform program that he called New freedom. Wilson wanted to eliminate all trusts because he believed they were denying economic freedom to small businesses and ordinary citizens.
Wilson was the first president since George Washington to speak before Congress, introducing and lobbying for legislation. Like Roosevelt, he also tried to influence, and utilize, public opinion to further his reform goals.
