In essence, the Columbian Exchange had a major impact on the globalization of the world. In this interaction between the Old and New Worlds, diseases, people, resources, and cultures were exchanged. Some of these examples had a negative impact; for example, the diseases that were spread killed a large number of people that were not immune. However, this exchange between the Worlds also had a very positive impact; cultures and beliefs assimilated, various resources spread to new regions, but most importantly, the world became interconnected and advanced as a whole.
