Hence, it tries to convey the message to the people that the students are having an enjoyable time learning the language in school. This further implies that under Japanese control, education will improve. The photographer was trying to show that they were having a great time when learning, and even though the students and the teacher was not Japanese, but of different ethnic races, they still enjoyed learning Japanese.
     In doing so, the photographer was trying to brainwash the locals to think that Nippon go was something that their children would enjoy and something that everyone can learn. So that the locals would be encourage to learn Nippon go and to embrace the Japanese culture.
