A character that embodies this theme is Scout Finch, she has shown not once but two or three times examples of classism. In chapter three she says 'He ain't company cal hes just a Cunningham". She's showing an example of classism because she thinks that since he's in a lower class of wealth he doesn't deserve or need the food that they get. Another example is when scout said "why do you talk that nigger talk to your folks when you know that's not right". That shows scout thinks that just because black people were at the lowest of classes at the time she thinks that They shouldnt even be talking the same way.

A symbol

A symbol that represent's classism is me, i see homeless people and try to avoid them because they're homelss. I dont take the time to think or realize that they're human to, they matter just as much as i do. Everyday ill see someone that looks weird or act's different and think "why are they like that?" anot realizing how wrong that is. I feel i can relate to scout because i dont think enough before i say something and dont fully understand the situation and what the right thing to do is. I feel like just as i show my self Calpurnia shows Scout that judging based on looks or wealth isn't right because at the end of the day we're all human and all matter just as much as the next person.
