Description

Students will identify and label the materials used to build their parachute toy by their properties including liquid, solid and gas materials of the objects.

Planning: Students will draw a plan of their prototype and make any adjustments to the design as they go through the design and testing phases.

Prototyping: After drawing their designs, students will move on to build their prototypes.

Description: After completing the base of the toy parachute, students will decorate the toy using different materials representing their creativity with a variety of colors, sizes, and textures.

Description:

Students will use timers to time the number of seconds it takes the toy parachute to drop 10 feet.

Students will compare the results of other groups by subtracting the amount of seconds it took the toy parachute to drop the 10 feet.
