Hispanic students are isolated at my school especially when they have just arrived in the U.S. This group tends to stay to themselves and not interact with the rest of the school. As a school we need to recognize and create activities which makes them feel a sense of belonging

I honestly have not seen racist ideas intersected with other biases in my classroom. We are virtual and about 98% of my students don't turn on their cameras. The only time I experienced anything was when one of my students felt I talked down to him. He expressed I did this because he was a black male. I had a private conversation with him and addressed his concerns. I still am unclear how he felt I was racist, he honestly was one of my best students, which I told him. He always participated, had his camera on, I even emailed home (prior to our conversation) expressing how he was an amazing student to his parent. I try to have students comfortable in my classroom and respect each other's differences. Being virtual, many students don't even know what the others look like, also my students are from all over Baltimore County and come from varying backgrounds. We are a melting pot of Baltimore County.

I feel that many more African American students in my school, specifically males, are disciplined at a much higher and frequent rate than any other group of students. Also, it seems that these African American male students punishments tend to be more severe compared to our white male students, even in the behavior/incident was the same.
