About the project

Summary:
This project proposes to support the pupils and teachers with didactic materials in electronic format of mathematics. An important objective of the project is the elaboration of the diverse softs, which will permit:
* teachers- to have an didactic instrument useful for the organization of lessons and extracurricular activities with application of mathematics.
* pupils-to understand some events, rules and other things with application of the theme.
* members of the etwining platform – to promove theirs works in diverse application and programming language wich reflect varied subjects of mathematics.

AIMS

Objectives:
- To learn programming languages and apply knowledge in developing softwares / interactive applications;
- Learn application possibilities Live Movie Maker, Windows Movie Maker, GeoGebra interactive math materials development;
- To arouse the interest of students and teachers in the proper use of ICT;
- Create video and audio materials useful for the subject matter;
- Use or to propose other materials posted on the TwinSpace;
- To develop creativity using ICT.

WORK PROCESS

Methodology: Teachers will organize events for studying applications TwinSpace Live Movie Maker, Windows Movie Maker, GeoGebra and Borland Delphi programming environment (and others), PowerPoint, and other tools that enable development of materials attractive for studying objects and different topics.
Students will select an option, object and subject, which will develop educational material, using proposed applications, or select other.
Students will have the possibility to form interest groups, supported by teachers
Also student teachers will propose soft own sites, or sites work done on humans - line. At the end of the school year proposed materials will be analyzed ..

EXPECTED RESULTS

Expected results: at least 20 software, which will be used in schools, over 100 students, passionate about ICT

I advice at the colleagues to do this enthusiastic experience to work in eTwinning platform. I am a new twinner on April 2016. I did a collaborative project.Is has been an anthusiastic experience That I learnt a lot in few time. I will do an international project on February about Children’s rights with children of seven years old. Our team will do a CLIL module too, inside the same project.
I advice to follow the upgrade courses, you can learn a lot.

I got to know the eTwinning platform for several months; I attended several courses, but what's interesting to me the most is this about math, since I am a teacher of mathematics in primary school. With my actual school I’ve been on two project, a Comenius project “Re(f)use” 2012 -14 and an Erasmus+ project “United in diversity” 2015-2017.

For “re(f)use” my students built many things using recycled material: boxes, kaleidoscope, Tangram, periscope, geometric decorations, pop up…. Now I’m trying to work on “United in diversity” through the history of computer (Turing, Ada Lovelace, …)

I would like very much to develop a project based on math or stem in general, but many colleaguesin my school are afraid about science in general or about using English as the exchange language.

I have already found a nice and interesting project for my students awaiting approval.

His name is "Math, food, supermarkets, exchange of currency!"
The project will consist on different activities for the students to practice operations with decimal numbers and learn how to convert between different currencies from different countries at the same time than they learn how supermarkets are in other places, and study why the prices of different food might variate in the countries.

I had heard about but did not know eTwinning, but after the experience lived and practiced in our Institute, I can say that it is a practice of excellent communication. In fact, our school, in collaboration with the schools of Greece, Spain and Romania, and drew up a K2 ERASMUS project, covering cooperation for innovation and exchange of good practices, involving in an original way the universal languages of ' art and music. two transnational project meetings are planned: the first in Spain, the other in Italy at our school. In addition there are four meetings on short term pupil mobility. The frequency, for a short time, at a European partner institution will allow students to improve skills in foreign languages, to know other educational systems, to collaborate in the project activities, but above all in a concrete way to experience the experience of being citizens of Europe. The coordinating teachers have had their first contact
within the eTwinning European platform; later they agreed and defined objectives, designed and planned activities and mobility through virtual meetings on Skype. The first mobility will, in
December in Italy; for a week, about 20 boys, from countries participating in the project, will become dell'I.C pupils. John XXIII and guests of the students' families and the entire community of Trabia.

I used maths in eTwinning project "Treasure Hunt". Maths is everywhere around us. The students created board game using roman numbers, Egyptian hieroglyphics (numbers). In outdoors activities they used geometry to draw a circle, to discover de diameter. They solved geometry problems - they built the Dacian sanctuary, then they built the battlefield using natural materials. I used maths in eTwinning projects because this provide the opportunity to explain how maths is connected with real life.

etwinning project are beautiful. This year my classes wil be involved in two projects. The first one is a "running challenge" and we had to measure the running field and count the lenght of the run for each child by counting the laps. That was real math :-)

eTwinning is fantastic! We realized the project Virtual Geometry Shapes last year. This year we joined the two projects Fun and games math and Applied Mathematics in everyday life. Cooperation develops knowledge, new skills, ideas and gives a lot of experience.

I don't Know how easy it is to do this in an ordinary lesson when students are being prepared for exams to enter the university. Perhaps, it might be easier in a project lesson or in a cultural program etc.

We did 3 etwinning projects. It was amazing! However we had some problems to make children keeping in touch each other, because of the privacy. They are Young and families are afraid of leaving children free to comunicate with others on internet. Anyway we loved working in a foreign Language and this projects have been very engagin for pupils!

This year my students (5th grade) and all 3rd grade students are involved in etwinning project - Matematičke priče.
Also our school,every year participates in the event: Večer matematike (Evening of mathematics) where students come with parents, relatives, friends... to do math together.

I am a member of team in Bulgarian Science Academy which share experience in a many EU projects - Dalest, InnoMathED, Fibonacci, DynaMath, KeyCoMath, Mascil, ... Ten years ago I used in my practice the graphics calculators TI 92. My students took participation in Students'University - the part of Bulgarian Science Academy. They make a project "Pompeu's Triangle", "Easy Morphing", "Use circles - elegant approach to solve geometric problems". The student's project "Pompeu's Triangle" was win a gold medal from International Competition, Mathematics and design", Moscow 2012" . My students was take participation in a various mathematical competition - some of them - Mandelbrot Competition is an individual and team competition
From 1987 our math team in a Math School organizes and conducts regional mathematics competition In own practice - every one of us use dynamic geometry, made sime class-room competitions and provoke the math curiosity of the students.
This year - I was Golab Winner at the Summer 2016

I have participated in a KA2 projects with some students of my school about sustainable consumption. In the future I will start a Maths project. My idea is to find a classroom in another european country. Students have to write a real problem that the other classroom have to risolve. Only after they find the solution can propose to my students their problems. And then again until we don't finish the topics decided at the beginning of the projects

I do eTwinning. I participate with Biology and Art teachers the topics covered varied but I do my best to include Maths too. eTwinning creates the right environment for theme based learning. In theme based learning students not only learn about the topic discussed but include social bahaviour and others including language and Maths.

I love eTwinning and I'm an Ambassador for my Region. I've just been running a project about Maths and Multiple intelligeniìcies, as a result of a great Learning Event (a two-weeks course on eTwinning) about this wonderful topic, lead by the super coordinator of this MOOC. The collaboration between classroom math would be done: start a lesson in grade 5, which continue to 6th grade to their level of knowledge and a completed 7th grade to adding the necessary knowledge.
