It tell the story of Dr. Jekyll who become prisoner of his own body losing its control. The novel begins with john utterson, a lawyer, who's tellings his cousin a strange situation: a day, he saw a man called Edward Hyde running over a girl and then he gave her family some money to avoid the scandal coming from his bad behavior. But the cheque was signed by a man called Dr. Jekyll. Afert that dr. Jekyll changed his will in order to make Hyde the  only beneficiary in case of his death or disappearance. So Utterson started to believe that Hyde is blackmailing Jekyll, so his questioned Jekyll, who told him to make his own business. After a year, Hyde killed a man and the murder weapon was found in Hyde's house. So Utterson once again, questioned dr. Jekyll about mr. Hyde (believing they were two different people) and he said that Hyde was gone, showing him a goodbye letter. The lawyer didn't believe him because the hadwriting was similar to Hyde's. Later another man died ,but before his deathhe had given Utterson a letter to be open only after Jekyll death or disappearance. At the same time, Jekyll stated to act strangely, he stayed all day long in his laboratory, and his servant Poole heard strange voices coming from that room, so he helped Utterson to find the truth. Finally they found mr Hyde dressed in mr Jekyll's clothes dead and what's more, the found a letter too, to be read after the other two Utterson possession. Utterson reading all these letter knew that Hyde and Jekyll were the same person and he undertand all the story: Jekyll a generous scientist, realizeed that good and evil coexist in human nature, so that we can find two different personalities in only one body.
