This relates to profiling and police brutality in America because as seen in America is Loving Me to Death there is a reoccurring history of oppression in the country. In Being Black is Exhausting, Jonathan Capehart discusses stereotypes and how black people work hard to avoid them. This quote relates to how people are raised impacts their views. Barbee praises a white man but he himself is blind physically and is brainwashed by history told by white people. This connects to You See Racism Say Something because the author mentions how many Americans are taught racism and prejudice. In Citizen by Claudia Rankine, she shows the different perspectives of people living in America which is the opposite of what Barbee does.
