media and entertainment company, organisation or product. Your
choice of case study must be approved by your tutor.
Demonstrating your understanding of the industrialisation of culture
framework, you will write a report that analyses the conditions within
which your case study operates.
Based on your analysis, you will then recommend one strategy which
offers potential for improvement or future growth. This could include a
new audience strategy, partnership, product, shift in funding structure
etc.
Your group will present your analysis and pitch this strategy in a
professional document designed to be read by the company and/or
investors.
In your analysis you must:
- Provide a detailed examination of your case study, including
relevant historical/contextual information, key stakeholders,
discussion of the business model and imagined audience
- Demonstrate clear links to key concepts and theoretical
frameworks discussed in class
- Make considered recommendations for one strategy that could
be implemented to improve the outcome/future potential of your
case study
Your recommendations should offer compelling advice shaped by your
knowledge of the practicalities of the media and entertainment business
