I have been incredibly blessed by this precious weekly gathering where we've shared life-giving conversations, prayed for each other, ate meals together, and sharpened each other in faith. Home group really did feel like a mini safe haven from the constant chaos and disarray of city life :,) Serving is definitely not an easy task and I'm sure there were many challenging, unseen moments where it might have felt tiring and burdensome... Thank you for showing up regardless and blessing us with your wisdom, time and energy. 

Hope yall understand how loved and appreciated you are! Also know that you can always reach out to us if you're ever going through a rough time - hopefully we can support you all just as you've supported us.

This HG has truly been a blessing in my life and I’m so thankfully I made the call to check it out after going to Hope a few times. However, I know it’s one thing to show up, and another to stay — you guys made both happen with the effort you all put in to preparing Bible studies, organizing and managing our large and lively crowd and ministering to us in many ways. I know we all lead busy lives, and the fact that you are willing to spend a few extra hours of your free time a week to devote to us through preparation and even just hanging out with us is greatly appreciated. There’s a lot I could say but I feel it’s best said in person so here’s the gist of it ~

It takes work and a constant humbling to be used by God, but it's abundantly clear that God has been (and will continue to!) work through you at home group. I'm not ever worried about bringing a new friend to HG, because I know how welcoming ya'll will be, and I love that you've helped cultivate a safe environment where people feel comfortable enough to share. I pray that no matter where you go or what you do, that God will continue to bless the work you do for His glory and multiply it by the thousands!

When I first moved to New York last fall I couldn’t have imagined to find a community like this so quickly into my time here. Saturday mornings always were (and continue to be) such a sacred and special time for me and I genuinely felt so spiritually nourished through the conversations and discussions we shared this past year, and it’s not lost on us how important your leadership- which each of you guys displayed in not just explicit but also subtle backseat ways like remembering our names/faces even after we’d only come once, or striking up convo w those of us who were at the back of the crowd while walking to lunch afterwards- was to cultivating that bond and community. Thank you for helping to create a sense of belonging for so many of us, and for showing us more of Jesus through your faith lived out in each of your lives. Happy 1 year anni of this cute lil HG! :’)Thank you endlessly for all the time you spent pouring into us - whether it was through prepping for Bible study, chatting with us, or even just showing up and gracing us with your pretty faces. 🥰 When I moved to NYC I was a scared bb and didn’t know if I would form any solid friendships, but I really felt your warmth right from the first day I walked in. Leadership is so much more than the title + merely speaking words - in addition to leading by example, it’s really in the ways you lovingly pursue the people, and I think each of you embody that and more! This HG has become one of my, if not THE, biggest blessings here, and I will be forever grateful to y’all!! You guys are SO loved + cherished + appreciated!!
