         <description><![CDATA[<p>We transferred to Leander ISD from Beaverton school district in Oregon. My child completed Spanish 1 in 7th Grade. Since Stiles doesn't offer Spanish 2 he was not able to continue Spanish in 8th Grade. Will he be able to go into Spanish 2 in 9th Grade? </p><p><br></p><p>Yes - if your child earned a full high school credit for the 7th grade course, then they can take Spanish 2 at RHS.</p>]]></description>

If your child takes both a sport and band for more than 1 year, your counselor will need to meet with you to determine how they earn all credits to graduate in 4 years. Summer classes will be needed to make this happen.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Pace is not a term that we use in high school. Students who are in PACE math in middle school are on track to take Algebra 1 in 8th grade. Students do earn high school credit for that Algebra class taken in 8th grade (with a passing grade). Students with Algebra 1 credit will take Geometry next. </p><p>Our middle schools do not offer AP courses.</p>]]></description>

The 3 graduation plans can be found in the Leander ISD course catalog. (Page 4)</p><p>Multidisciplinary endorsement is a set of classes within the graduation plan. Multidisciplinary endorsement means that students are taking specific core classes during high school. The requirements for multidisciplinary endorsement are on page 25 of the <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.leanderisd.org/coursecatalog/">course catalog</a>.</p>]]></description>

In this scenario, AP Calculus will be calculated into high school GPA. Our district policy states that up to 8 semester grades for Math are calculated into weighted GPA. Courses taken starting the summer after 8th grade are calculated into high school GPA.</p>]]></description>

Switching from ACC to a Rouse class may not be always recommended because ACC will not follow our continuous curriculum. There is no Spanish Honors. Leander ISD does have a graduation plan called Distinguished w/Honors which requires 3 credits of the same language. Spanish Honor Society has it's own criteria to be accepted. Credits earned through ACC Dual credit are college credits and can be transferred to another college/university.</p>]]></description>
