I like this arrangement, where large groups could theoretically sit, but the tables are also spaced out enough for smaller groups to work without being disrupted. We have some gigantic live plants in our library, and when I started talking about remodeling that was the one thing students ALWAYS commented on -- "you have to keep the plants!" Currently, they are all arranged in one giant cluster, but I am going to move them to be interspersed throughout the library, especially in student-work areas.
