I think getting started on things is the hardest part. But these tools allow me to put in a few things and get something generated that I can them customize or edit to my liking and to fit my exact needs. I find that more and more of my time is spent differentiating tasks and translating texts. Instead of doing that work manually, I can use this tool to help me do the work, saving time and allowing me to focus my energy on being present with my students.

QuestionWell is able to generate a wide range of questions (multiple choice, short response, writing prompts, etc) based on a provided standard, objective, or prompt entered by the user. The best part is that it allows you to export the generated questions to Kahoot, Schoology, Canvas, Google Forms, and so many other tools we use in the classroom. This tool could help save so much teacher time.

I loved using this application. I needed to create a unit on sponges for my zoology class. I asked Gemini to create a slideshow for me using specified criteria. It generated bullet points, pictures, and speaker notes that I easily copied and pasted into a google document. Then, I asked it for bulletin board ideas. It came complete with title, background, learning sections, ways to make it interactive and extension crafts to accompany it. I had it write a lab for me for the unit. This needed some general editing, but it was a fabulous start. I had it create a story and a poem for the unit, fit to my specifications. And, throughout, it was able to indicate the sources for its information. Easy to use and excellent for ideas.

I have found Brisk does a great job of leveling assignments to different reading levels. It can also be used to generate questions for a reading assignment (although they aren't always the best but it can save time with some ideas)

For example, I used Diffit to simplify 5th-grade reading material and questions for a 3rd-grade reader, ensuring all students could engage with the content at their level. Diffit is an invaluable resource for enhancing classroom instruction.

CoGrader allows you to input your essay prompts, rubrics, and students' essays, then it grades them for you. You can adjust the feedback before and after it's created, or you can ask AI to adjust it. IMHO, it's best to be upfront with your students about the use of this technology, but they seem to respect it, and boy does it cut down on essay grading.

The default prompt asks for a bullet point summary. A prompt that I modified in the settings page and found more useful was, “Create a topic web, like in the book The Writing Rope by Joan Sedita, dividing the content of the transcript into sections including an introduction, body and a conclusion.”  This created more of a narrative summary than the bullet points, which at times seemed somewhat random. Instead, students get an introduction to the topic, some key supporting ideas, and a conclusion that the viewer should draw from having watched the video.

I can spend more time conferencing with students, and less time writing feedback that students hardly read through anyway!

I was very excited as I saw that you had the option to add Spanish from different countries, but I may have not know how to add them, because the step always came out with the same response: no voice available.

Anyway, I was able to record y own voice and the little snapshot worked great.

It will take some time to learn how to use this AI tool but I think it could work lovely in World Language classes to have students practice after me pronunciation inthe target language at home.

Talking points is used to communicate with families in their home language.  This would be very helpful for those who teach in diverse communities.  It can be used to send announcements to all families or to message specific families.  There are many languages to choose from!  It also keeps records of messages sent, how many families responded, among several other data points.

I put in my student's paper and the recommendations are better than mine I shouldn't share this out because I do believe this could replace me.

On a serious note if you need to show a student how making corrections taking suggestions can make their paper amazing with a couple of clicks this can do it for you and save time.

It included cultural elements, meaningful questions, creative drawing prompts, and space for student reflections. It’s clear that Curipot is a powerful tool for creating dynamic, student-centered learning experiences with minimal effort on my end.

In a nutshell for teachers, Curipod takes your instruction and makes it engaging and interactive for the students. The students will be able to access the lesson using their Chromebooks and type in the Curipod lesson Pin. But once in, they won’t be able to do anything on their computers till there is a slide with something the teacher wants them to work on such as a slide with a question. FREE Microsoft Reading Coach is exactly what I'm looking for! Students can practice their oral reading fluency and it provides immediate, targeted feedback. Stories are based on reading level, topics of interest, and/or genre. Words that are a struggle have follow-up targeted activities. AI-powered stories can be generated in 14 different languages. Finding time to read with each student can be challenging, but I'm excited to explore how this can help me better support my readers!

Canva for educators is a free online graphic design tool designed to help K-12 teachers and students with visuals and tools for collaboration. Some examples include: suite resources, templates, and design features specifically for educational purposes. Canva is an AI-powered design tool that can help teachers quickly create engaging classroom resources, presentations, graphic organizers, visuals, and student project templates. I explored Canva’s AI features and found that it can help generate ideas and designs that can be customized for different grade levels and subjects. As an ELA teacher, I see many possibilities for using Canva to create vocabulary resources, lesson slides, exemplars, and creative student projects. One benefit of this tool is that it combines efficiency with creativity, allowing teachers to save planning time while still creating visually appealing materials for students. I would recommend Canva to other educators who want to use AI to enhance their classroom resources while maintaining their own instructional style and goals.

Google Colab in conjunction with Google Gemini helped me to code in Python, a programming language I have absolutely no experience with. As mistakes were made, Gemini suggested adjustments until we resolved all of the issues and I received the promised output. Incredible!
