The Renaissance changed many aspects of life in comparison to the late Middle Ages. During the later Middle Ages religion dominated politics, literature, and technology. Although, this all changed during the Renaissance when the state started regaining power. One similarity between the Middle Ages and the Renaissance was that women were not affected by either time period.

The renaissance and the middle ages were very distinct. The renaissance was focused on the state and individualism. The middle ages on the other hand had it's focus on religion. Even though they were different they had a similarity which was the women status.

Throughout the MIddle ages and Renaissance, there was a change of lifestyle occurring. The views of many transitioned from focusing on the church to more about themselves. Soon the state overpowered the church politically and socially.

The later Middle Ages and the Renaissance were more different than they were alike. They were different in the fact that the Renaissance brought more emphasis to individuals and less emphasis to religion, especially when it came to subjects such as politics and philosophy. However, they were similar in the ways that women were treated poorly and in general were unaffected by the renaissance. Overall, the Renaissance was a large cultural and intellectual improvement from the middle ages.

Although religion was a big part of people's lives in the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, philosophy, politics, and technology made it become less important than it was before. Many people In the Middle Ages still had religion dominate over the other things, but became more focused on supremacy, when time passed. In the Renaissance, philosophy the people were still religious but now also focused a little more on themselves.

Although the Middle Ages and the Renaissance were strictly different, they both were two different events with their own lifestyles. The Middle Ages was more focused on religion and had strict regulations over family and marriage. Where as, in the Renaissance, people were valued and had more freedom in their actions whether they were good or bad.

The Late Middle Ages had their society to have full attention on religion as the Renaissance had revolutionary philosophy, art, literature that did not revolve so much involved with ideas that did not include too much religion. They both though had to contribute to the women having a decline in power in the society.

Things stayed the same in women's status, nothing much had really changed, the Renaissance did not change their ways. The later middle ages were mainly focused on religion while the Renaissance focused on individualism. The middle ages had to rely on scribes to produce written works, and married for economic reason. The Renaissance however had the printing press and focused wealthier peoples marriage on romance.

During the Renaissance, however, there was a shift in power and focus to the state/monarchs and humanist philosophy and literature. In the middle ages written works were dependent on scribes until the Printing Press. There was also no divorce but a better legal status for women, as appose to urban centers during the Renaissance.
