In conclusion, regarding the impact of attraction factors and motivation factors on online gaming addiction, the former would be in the secondary position: like substance addictions, the attraction factors of video games could elicit pathological use of video games; nevertheless, unlike general substance addictions, the addictive properties of online games are not strong. Hence, online gaming addiction would be influenced by attraction factors to a smaller extent. Whereas, in the formation of online gaming addiction, the motivation factors are expected to be in the leading position: online gaming addiction is biologically driven by the brain reward system; the motivation of escapism and the social responsibility from video games could enable gamers to have a stronger sense of social identity towards the virtual world. Therefore, online gaming addiction would be determined by motivation factors to a greater extent. However, this essay does not analyse the influence of attraction and motivation in varying addiction stages, which might be another topic worth studying.

In conclusion, motivation factors and attraction factors lead to OGA. However, the former reveals the essential reason of OGA with the latter as the outlet. Specifically, attraction factors are constrained by the player's ability to self-control, while motivation factors mirror personal psychological state and stress in real life. Therefore, the government should pay more attention to the social pressure of online game addicts, rather than blockading online games forcefully.

While the former can exist independently, the latter has to match one of the former for an outlet of real-life pressure. Whether a real-life problem requiring this outlet exists, recognizes Attraction Addiction from Motivation Addiction.

In conclusion, I would like to say that the opportunity to start the game is largely influenced by the Attraction Factors. However, the Motivation factors affect us more to become gaming addiction. The main reason for this is the seriousness of psychological effects. At first glance, the attraction factors seem to contribute to increasing dependence, but some online games play alone, not necessarily requiring network building or team contribution. It is reported that some game players have improved player's self-esteem by playing game and rather helped them return to society. From this view, we should focus on the impact on self-esteem which is huge related to all game players. That is why I believe that online gaming addiction determined by Motivation Factors.

For addicted players, the time of playing should be controlled at the beginning of being interest at a computer games to avoiding deepen the degree of gaming addiction. Once the motivation factors are aware of, players need to distinguish which function of the game entertain them most, and ask for psychologists or detox institutions help. Due to the lacking research in the combined function of the two factors, the convincing data is hard to dig out. But a explicit conclusion has already been given: attraction factors lead to the addiction of players to computer games by entertaining them in the initial stage, while motivation factors deteriorate the addiction situation of players in at a later stage.

Therefore, it is essential to find out the reasons that people are addicted to it. Attraction factors are the external cause for people addicted to online gaming，although it makes players interested through a series of influences of the game itself, this kind of game experience may be temporary, if the individual does not have a strong desire or the game does not suit the individual's psychological needs. Meanwhile, motivation factors are the internal cause which is related to the inner needs of the player. However, the decisive reason is the combination of the two elements, and the single factor may not directly cause people to indulge in online games.

It analyses how the addiction was created and received during online gaming, carried by the Internet all along. On the one hand, the design features of the game attract and encourage players to keep playing the games. On the other hand, the Individual differences and multiple needs affect the gaming behaviours and eventually leave the players dependent on their gaming communities.

In summary, this essay compares attractiveness and motivation factors in detail and expounds the characteristics of attraction factors respectively from the attraction of the game itself and the social relationship in the game that makes people play the game continuously. Also, from the perspective of their inadequacies and social environment, motivational factors are largely determining whether a person is addicted to games. Because many things have attraction factors, such as skiers love the feeling of falling from high places (Yee,2002, p.3). Therefore attractiveness is a less important determinant of game addiction. In contrast, motivational factors are more likely to cause stressed people to play games uncontrollably. Although the real difficulties and pressures can't be easily solved, it provides a perfect solution in the game. Gamers can easily escape from the dilemma of real life.

In conclusion, attraction factors come from games and will cause short-term effects, while motivation factors come from people themselves and will have long-term effects on online addiction. The design and environment of the game attract people from the outside. Once these characteristics are not attracted, people may not become addicted to it. However, people’s own personalities and psychological factors change their cognition from within, even without games, they may become addicted to other things. Both two factors play an important role in this issue, but motivation factors have a wider influence. However, this essay did not conduct on-site investigation and research, it only draws conclusions based on literature research, and the conclusions drawn lack a certain degree of scientificity.

This paper focuses the question on how players' addiction to online games is affected by attraction and motivation factors. On the one hand, it is entirely possible that the attraction factor of the game may attract some people to become addicted to online games. Obviously, some players will be addicted to getting more advanced rewards of the game without motivation factors. On the other hand, some players may be initially attracted to game rewards, but what causes them to be truly addicted is the opportunity to escape real-life problems in the virtual world.

In conclusion, there are many attraction factors and motivation factors affect gaming addiction, and they are all key causes. Among the reasons for online gaming addiction, players want to have a virtual space far from reality that they can be omnipotent and get temporary happiness, and the elaborately designed games cater to the players' various needs and provides them with a place to achieve their wishes. Moreover, if the players do not have necessary needs such as escaping from reality, then the games may only be regarded as ordinary entertainment and not worth spending too much time. On the other hand, if the games themselves can not cater to players’ needs and are not attractive, then they will be abandoned due to inability to satisfy players and boredom. Therefore, in general, it is the combination of motivation and attraction factors that cause online gaming addiction, and both are equally important for it.
