Hintons novel  The Outsiders we learned about a-lot of new people. First is the main character named Pony. Then we have his brothers Soda and Darry. We also learn about how they act and look. Like a way to describe Pony is that he has green eyes and light brown almost red hair. Next there is his brother named soda and he is 16 and really nice and fun. Also there is Darry who is one who takes care of them all because there parents died. The main conflict in this story is between the Socs and the Greasers. The reason they don't like eachother is because the Socs are rich and popular and live on the west. The Greasers are from the slums area and live on the east side. The Socs pick fights with the Greasers.
