Germ Experiment with Water

Materials:

Water
Black pepper
Liquid soap

Procedure:
Fill a bowl with water and sprinkle black pepper on the surface. Have the children dip their fingers into the liquid soap. Then, they touch the surface of the peppered water with their soapy finger. The pepper quickly disperses across the surface.

Today, the children embarked on an exciting digital journey - they solved various puzzles in the app🧩 and thus creatively explored the world. Solving puzzles🧩 helped the children develop logical thinking, observation, the ability to see the whole and persistently achieve the goal👏.

We create colourful ice cubes.

Children mixes tempera paints with water , and we put the mix into small vases with wood stick on it. We put the vases into the regrigeration and we observe the progress of the experiment. The water paints converted into ice and we draw our colouring sheets.

Due to a lack of snow , we decide to create paper snowflakes . We draw them and we decorate them with glitter glue. Then we dance with our snowflakes in our hands the musical piece "4 season - Winter" by P.Tsaikovski

Students performed experiments with melting ice, they used imagination and were inspired to paint ice in various colors. It was very exciting activity, lot of fun and questions ! After that students made artificial snow and built snowmen’s. Students measured who’s is taller, who’s is bigger.

Experiment: Freezing-Melting

We filled disposable plastic cups with water and put them in the freezer. The next day, of course, they had turned to ice. And since we haven't seen snow yet this year, we made snowmen with the ice.
Everyone "wore" a different colored scarf and went and sat in a different place...
The red one stayed in the classroom on a chest of drawers.
The green one was probably getting cold and went and sat on the lit radiator.
And the blue one was getting warm so he took a chair and sat outside in the yard.
We now knew that all three would melt at some point, but who would melt first? The children made their predictions and we recorded them in the worksheet below as a group.

Since it didnt snow, we carried out an artificial snow activity with our students. Artificial snow was obtained by mixing baking soda, soda and shaving foam in sufficient amounts. The children examined the texture, shape and coldness of the artificial snow.

The dinosaurs were placed in containers and water was added.The containers were put into the freezer so the water could freeze. The next day,tried to take the dinosaurs out of the ice. After a while the ice melted .in this way we observed the freezing and melting of water.

Snow art, kids made a statue out of snow - outside, it is the Snow Queen. It came out of questions: is it still autumn, but who called the snow, how it could be? Some kids created the Snow Queen who brought a lot of snow to us. They also found some leftovers of the autumn - so used it as eyelashes for the queen. Kids also said thankful words to her for bringing so waited snow and asked to leave snow for as long as winter ends!

Using recycle materials cardboard carton and white paints we were making Christmas cards with greetings for friends. It was an art activity we were working together on this, it was not only decorating, but also some relaxing time. Kids had to circle the selected shape, cut it out, make a town scene in snow by gluing and painting.

While being outside with parents kids should take a look around and notice whats is changing in nature. In class activity they should tell about the signs of winter their noticed: it was frost, icicle, snowflakes, snow, strong and cold wind, ice, cold, need warm clothes snowmans and other... the most creative art activity were kids could put all those signs into white sheet of paper. Such beautiful and cute creative paintings.

The teacher took a photo of some students, asked the what if I could make some magic, and turn you into animated something, just choose the theme. Children chose to be snowmen. It was not only learning but also joyful experience to recognise themselves or their friends from animation.

Nature's collage in ice - art and science together

Here art and science and the power of nature came together. The children created ice collages, used various natural materials, water and ice in outdoor conditions at sub-zero temperatures. The children were very surprised by the result and the beauty of the creations! We left some ice outside to bury the secret in the snow, and we brought some back for experiments. The children left one ice to melt in the room, and sprinkled the other with salt and watched the process to see which one melted faster. The salt did its job, the ice melted very quickly here. Driven by curiosity, whether salt would have the power to melt ice outdoors, we tried again - it melted! It was an experience, the children were delighted! 🤩
