         <description><![CDATA[<div><em><mark>yes and no because decimals and remainders are both the leftovers from the quotient, however decimals are more accurate than remainders because remainders can't go on forever but decimals can because once you add the zeros the number itself doesn't change at all.   <br><br>The remainder and decimal can be converted to a fraction .          <description><![CDATA[<div>In my opinion the statement is sometime true because sometimes you need to convert the remainder to get the decimal because if it is 71/8=8r7 you cannot put 8.7 as that would be like 70% of eight even though it is not on the other hand sometimes you can do it for example you can do it in 125/10=12r5 you can put 12.5 because the divisor is 10. Here is an example of a random  equation: 28/5=5r3=5.6 so in this one you can get the decimal easily because it is a factor of 10 so it is a bit easier and all the factors of ten  are really easy to work with because ten is a factor of a hundred, a thousand, ten thousand, etc. Decimals basically run the decimals and therefor any numbers which are a factor of a multiple of 10 or ten are some of the easiest numbers to work with. Others are harder though like 100/3=33.33333 and that is NOT an easy number to work with, same with 6.66666666 and 9.99999999.  I still think that the statement applies sometimes and my understanding of it has just improved.</div>]]></description>
