I´m live in Cali, Valle del Cauca. I live in a apartment with my mother. My grandmother and my sister. The apartment where i live is small, there is three bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen, two bathrooms, there is a yard and it is on the first floor.

Normally during the week I get up at 7 in the morning to go to the gym, on weekends I get up at 8 - 9 in the morning because they are rest days.  During the week I prepare my breakfast at 7:30 and on the weekend I have breakfast from 8:30 - 9:30, the meals that I usually prepare are: eggs, arepas, sausage, fruit salad, tacos, bread and i like to drink coffee or orange juice.  My lunch hour is between 2 - 3:30 in the afternoon, sometimes I have lunch before or after that hour.  What I usually prepare for lunch is: beans, lentils, roast beef, roast pork, roast or grilled chicken, rice, different types of soups, sancochos, salads, plantain toast, French fries, natural fruit juices , etc.  To go to work I travel by motorbike, I work independently, for this reason I do not have a specific schedule or an arrival time at home.  After working and studying, I dedicate myself to reading, I am entertained on my cell phone, I watch television, I do my homework at the U, I also go outside to amuse myself or go to the gym to exercise.  My dinner time is between 7 - 8:30 at night, sometimes I have dinner before or after and usually I prepare the same as in the breakfast.  I don't have a specific time to go to sleep, sometimes I go to bed earlier or later than other times, but during the week I usually go to bed earlier than on weekends.  On weekends I like to go out to have fun, I go to eat, I go to the movies, I go to have a coffee somewhere, I go to shopping centers, I go to rock bars, I go out with my family or friends.  When I don't go out and I prefer to stay at home, I watch TV, watch videos on my cell phone, read books or do my homework.  Before I studied English every day, nowadays I don't study it, I haven't studied it for a long time but I plan to resume it and continue studying it.

No, me demoré un poco en comentar en el foro, tanto así que la tutora comentaba que no veía participación en el foro de discusión, estuve ocupado desarrollando otros trabajos de otras materias. Pero si comenté con el tiempo suficiente para que la tutora pudiera retroalimentar, unas dos semanas antes de la fecha de entrega aproximadamente. (7 puntos)

¿En cuáles de los siguientes espacios de interacción y aprendizaje participé? Foro de esta tarea, Talleres de componente practico (TCP), Web conferencias, B-learning etc.? 

Solo participé en el foro de discusión e ingresé al Ebook para desarrollar el ejercicio propuesto en la guía. (5 puntos)

¿Qué aprendí de esta tarea? ¿Es importante lo que estoy aprendiendo? ¿Por qué? 

Por la presión de la universidad entre otras cosas, no he podido tomarme la molestia de aprender bien, con el tiempo estas cosas se olvidan. Pienso retomar el inglés cuando pueda estudiarlo sin presiones. (5 puntos)

¿Cómo aporta este aprendizaje a mi vida personal y profesional?

Es un idioma universal, me va a ayudar en mi vida laboral más adelante, a entender más cosas cuando estén escritas en inglés y a comunicarme con personas de otros países cuando viaje. (10 puntos)

Talking about myself: 

My name is Steven Álvarez Villamizar, I am single, I am from Cali and I live in Cali. I am 19 years old. I am a student and I work in real estate. I am studying at UNAD. In my free time I like to do many things, for example; I read, I go to the gym because it helps me stay calm, I watch TV series to distract myself, I also study systems engineering subjects outside the university to strengthen my knowledge, in short, I go out to make different plans to pass the time.. 

 

Talking about my city/town: 

 

The main touristic places in Cali are Cali zoo, Christ the King Statue, Caliwood Museum of Cinematography, the typical food in my city is Chicken Stew and chontaduro. On the other hand Chicken Stew is prepared with cloves of garlic, stubborn onion, butter, long onion, tomato, cilantro, water, corn on the cob, potato, wild color, yucca, salt, plantain, chicken and arracacha. Chontaduro is a fruit that is eaten with salt and honey.

The main celebrations in my city are: The Cali fair is a festivity temporarily held with this name since 1958 in the Valle del Cauca city of Cali in Colombia that takes place between December 25 and 30. Its most important events are the Salsódromo and the so-called Superconcert. There is also the Petronio Álvarez Festival. It is a festival dedicated to the folklore music of the Colombian Pacific or directly related to it. It takes place in the city of Santiago de Cali, Colombia in the month of August. The People usually they dance and drink alcohol while appreciating the clothing of the people who represent the festival. On the other hand, at the cali fair they usually ride horses. Also There are many activities to do in Cali, you can visit the tourist areas, go to the zoo, attend events, visit museums, go to restaurants, go to the movies, go to the wheel, attend theaters, rock bars, concerts, discos, go to the boulevard, among other activities.

No, solo ingresé al ejercicio del módulo que me correspondía hacer

Si publiqué todos mis avances, tal vez no en la primera semana, pero si mucho antes de que finalizara la actividad. Los últimos aportes si los subí al foro faltando 2 días para que finalizara la actividad.

 

¿Preparé y dediqué suficiente tiempo para realizar una buena presentación oral en el video y/o en el encuentro sincrónico? 

Si practiqué la pronunciación, igual sigue siendo un reto pronunciar todo bien.

 

¿Me siento más seguro de expresarme Oralmente en Inglés? 

Si, la actividad me ayudó a mejorar la pronunciación de algunas palabras que no sabia pronunciar. 

 

¿Cómo aporta este aprendizaje a mi vida personal y profesional?

El inglés es un idioma universal y muy solicitado en mi carrera profesional, por lo tanto, estas actividades me ayudan a nivel personal y profesional a mejorar la pronunciación y escritura del inglés.
