How can we reclaim and integrate AI into our ongoing activities and task?

The goal is:

(1) Educate (allow stronger understand of the fundamentals of LLMs)

(2) Adjust (adjust our unit assessments when relevant to integrate AI affectively)

(3) Take Action (Give students the space to use AI and LLM tools in a controlled and purposeful enviornemnt

(4) Track (Communicate with students, parents and admin the intention and goal of using this tool)

(5) Assess (Assessing AI use means assessing process and reflection. Content then takes a different role in this project. Criteria should focus on the student's understanding of the limitations and values of this tool

Overall - this is an ongoing project. The website above is currently being updated for subjects such as LAL and Math to include subject specific guidelines.

Next Steps

In 2025-2026, the goal is to continue to work with department heads and students to create a plan to integrate AI learning, use, and investigation. Having a comprehensive use-case and plan is essential for trust in the education program and the ability for it to prepare students for the future.
