Dear Anthonians, you have been tasked to design a Learning Hub in a school using Lego bricks or any recycled materials. For the designing of the Learning Hub, imagine that you are a new teacher in a school. You are to construct a small corner in the school in which students can learn and have fun. Example of a corner is reading corner, iPad corner or any other interesting corners that interest the students. You can refer to Pg 10 of the Project Ace booklet and construct based on your drawing. Or you can think of something else and construct. You can refer to my Learning Hub attached below. Write few sentences about the Learning Hub.

Hi I am Jehann, this is my amazing eco friendly I pad corner. Not only does it have amazing exotic plants, it also has solar panels on top to capture light energy to electrical energy. It’s low electricity consumption allows it to play a part for reducing global warming and climate change. Not only that, there are three different walls the first one varies in rainbow colours which allows the I pad corner to be enticing, giving the visitors a warm welcome the second colour is grey, which allows the pupils in the I pad corner to contrast better and study. Thus, you are able to get good results in school. The third colour is brown, which adds in contrast between grey and brown. There are also security systems that can detect intruders trespassing. It also has 2 doors. One is for emergency and one is for entering on the daily basis. Hope you would like my amazing and enticing I pad corner!

This is my iPad Corner.
There will be a counselor stationed to monitor the students coming in and out.
Students will be given 30minutes to use the iPad for education apps.
A discussion table is also available for students who have used the iPad and wish to discuss what they have done.

This is my garden corner. Students can relax and learn at this corner. They can also water the plants and take pictures of plants, flowers, birds and insects such as butterflies, dragonflies and beetles. Students can eat sandwiches and have a picnic. Everyone can come to my garden corner.

Instead of using legos, i used a box to represent the section of the room. The square chocolate on the red shelves represent books and the square chocolate on the floor represent bean bags pillows.

In my library corner, there is a television that allows the children to watch educational documentaries or learning and interactive videos. You can watch it by either sitting on the chairs or laze around on the bean bag pillows.

The learning hub I have designed is a gaming corner made of lego bricks. This will be an enjoyable corner for Anthonians to learn games and robotics.The game corner has a robot competition, car driving and other gaming stations. Children can build games and puzzles to develop their minds. There is also a place for resting with a big fan.

My learning space is an IPad corner. I made it by using a styrofoam box and some Lego tables and chairs where students can sit an make themselves comfortable. There is also a designated area where students can collect their Ipad for their learning. It is spacious, cozy and comfortable.

This is my video game corner. This is for the children to come and play after they have finished their homework. There is a computer at the back, a signboard in the front to let people know where this is. The video game corner opens at 7.55 am in the morning and closes at 7pm in the evening. There are question marks on the signboard because the children can play IQ quiz games on the computer at the back. - Nathan
