E.g.: psychologists and tutoring companies do not get paid for years; private schools do not receive tuition for years; etc. This happens even after repeatedly (5-6 times or more) sending them all required information, including hearing decision, tax ID, address, etc. Implementation unit almost never responds. They sometimes incorrectly say something has been approved when it has not been. Most importantly, this severely hurts our clients. Many providers (psychologists, tutoring agencies, private schools) now refuse to work with our DOE clients because they cannot afford to wait years to get paid. Here are a few. 1) Clarify whether IU is also responsible for resolution agreements, not just FOFDs. 2) Raise DOE "standard rate" for comp services across the board. They have not been raised in around 20 years and do not reflect current market rates. E.g.: RSA rate: Raise from $45/hr -> $200/hr. Neuropsychs: $1,000 -> $5,000. OT, SLT, and PT evals: $200 -> $1,500.
