There is an option to save any content or textual pieces which the user finds interesting and would like to later return or find again.

When using Pocket, I found that there was a lot to choose from and was unsure of which to choose first. I like the feature of what’s popular today as it highlights what is trending.

As I used Pinterest, I found I was seeing and more due to the use of imagery, additionally I prefer using Pinterest as it was quicker, and I liked when the motivational phrases appeared.

Firstly, Pocket and Pinterest are forums which are free of charge to use and can only be accessed through a device with internet connection. 

The apps allow users to identify their likes and then the app uses this information to tailor the clients feed based on their preferences. The two bring the user to an additional website with additional information. Both forums allow users to manage their information by pinning or saving any content which they find beneficial or useful for themselves. This data can be arranged on features or similarities, easy to identify and find suitable information. 

Both apps also include options for sharing their findings to other websites such as Facebook and or twitter.

 Pinterest aims to show the users new content related to their interests and inspires the user to uncover new aspects which they may not have seen before. 
 
 Pocket has a discovery page which shows the readers the most recent trending or popular reads.
 
Pocket provides more information on their topics, and I think
it is a better option for education as it provides more data, for example historical based topics. However, Pinterest has increased advantages in relation to personal life and highlight life hacks or different ways to complete tasks, such as how to style hair.
 
Pinterest can also allow you to link with other members and
share content and message one another this is not an option on Pocket.

Users can create their own personalise pin through Pinterest
in this they have the option to add their own photos, and descriptions about their topic, in contrast to Pocket, where this is not an option.

Firstly, I examined eurostat and tried to find a topic which I had an interest in. I looked through the transport data. I then filtered the information that was neccessary for my work, this including data that was revelant and up to date in addition to clearing any data that was not neccessary.  I downloaded the file onto Excel.

Next, I progressed onto creating the map, this included picking out a map, transferring my data across, making changes, aligning information and ensuring my work appeared visually well.

I found this task interesting and I think the tutorial video by Jane really assisted me. However I did struggle with coming up with an idea and finding the neccessary data. 2) May provide adverts or posts which are similar to previous usage. If you as the user do not want to avail of this, you can opt for this to stop.  Suggestions will be based on history and current following on the forum.

3) The user has the right to remove or permanently delete any information or data about themselves, that they have posted or shared throughout the app. 

4) Any user can be provided with support about how to effectively make use of Facebook, a list of applications available can be found in settings under the personal section. If the user feels someone is abusing the app, they can seek support through settings and receive feedback on how to deal with the issue.

5) To remain safe the user can set a feature that they can choose who can see and contact them in their page. Additionally, they can prevent friends of friends from viewing post, this will lead to enhanced safety and so the user feels comfortable posting their information. Also, information can be provided on how to efficiently make use of the app and the tools associated.

The forum allows me to communicate and network with others, whilst also acquiring information. It’s essential that the forum has sufficient plans. I felt it was important to keep my policy concise and to the point, to ensure the users read it and can easily identify their rights. Understanding why and how data is being stored is vital for users and to know their rights. I think the app should only gather information that is necessary and for their own sake in the instance of legal issues.
