I thought this slide was particularly interesting because of the ideas she addresses and the overlay of different images. The last line, about her art speaking silently, also stood out to me. This seems to be a collage of pictures, maybe including cuttings from magazines, which I find very interesting. A 2D medium I'd like to try is charcoal or maybe chalk, and a 3D medium I'd like to try would be glass, whatever that could look like in this class.

I thought this slide was interesting because how in depth it went into the brushstroke technique used, using certain undertones to create exaggerated yet realistic pieces of art. This type of shading/blending is very interesting to me, and it's something I'd like to try.

What originally caught my eye in this photo was the hand and how the form of the hand is really good even though there are no sharp dark lines. Then when I started reading I realized the page was about how someone communicates through art which is also interesting. She used watercolor to get down her main pieces of communication through art. This year I want to try to get better at letting the values in my art create form rather than dark/sharp lines, I can try to accomplish this using any kind of medium, but the one I would like to try first is pencil and/or colored pencils.

This piece was interesting to me because of the use of colors. I am amazed by the use of the different shades of pink and red that match so well together. The artist was working with 2D media and I would like to try using it as well because this work looks very interesting. I also noticed that in her deception's she wrote about her concerns of he image being cliché. I think it is important to acknowledged the concerns in the experimenting part to show the audience what affect your choice of media and design. Overall I can learn a lot from this 2D work and it will help me incorporate different ideas and make my piece stronger.

This slide caught my eye because of how color blocking was used. Color blocking can be very helpful when trying to learn form or making a silhouette. The use of references is also present. Using references can also be helpful as well. I would like to try painting in acrylics at some point. Personally I've never really done much acrylic. I find it amazing when someone can paint a relisting painting in acrylics.

I found this slide most interesting I really liked how the artist tried to achieve a piece of illusion with the ice and making it blend in as the ice was melting over the lips and the details getting every little crease in the lips I personally I've never used oil paint it looks like it allowed the artist to give a more realistic look in 2D

I am very good at drawing and sketching, but when it comes to putting it into paint on canvas, I am not the best. One of things I would like to try is the type of realistic painting that has been done here, and to improve my painting skills these next 2 years.

On a purely technical, and conceptual level, I can appreciate the amount of detail, thought, and intricacy, as well as trial and error, went into this painting and others of its ilk. What caught my eye, so to speak, about this slide in particular was the translation from reference to painting, and how well it was rendered, especially the Vermeer-like plays with light, which brings me to what I'd like to sort of experiment with: realism (as in the art form that has roots in 19th century paintings). I'd like to think I'm fairly decent at rendering cartoonish figures, where principles of anatomy and color don't necessarily apply, but I'd absolutely love to learn what goes into and makes a "realistic," oil on canvas painting. And, of course, I'd also like to try my hand at producing a Classical piece, or a tronie at some point as well.

This slide interested me because of how it is possible to make weird shapes that you would rarely see in the real world through a disc and some staples which pushes to draw the disc in different ways! (i don't know what other way to put it >_>) Also using tape to remove the holographic is very interesting as you could apply the holographic to other objects to make it more reflective? Colorful? Messing with the wire was also interesting to me as well as it symbolizes the audio in the cds (if they're not empty)
