Something from a jot that left an impression of me is how one person (not going to state any names) said that they wanted to be nice to everyone even if they don't like someone. It made me think about society's rules and how society teaches us to be kind to everyone or we could be judged. Which makes me think; would you still be nice to someone even though it would have no benefits to you whatsoever and nobody would judge you for being mean?

The word illuminate leaves an impression on me that there is always a resolution and you can choose to be positive. I always try to look on the bright side and sometimes if I'm having a bad day I can tell myself "Illuminate the darkness" this would mean that you should be positive and look on the bright side of the dark or negative things in life. So the word illuminate leaves the impression that there is always a resolution and you can choose to be positive.

Chapter 1: Optimism (Disha)

Optimism leaves a positive aftertaste on my tongue as it really means hopefulness and confidence about the future or the successful outcome of something. We have the pessimists, and we have the optimists. Of course, we have the people who don't have any emotions at all, but in this world we need optimists, especially in times of stress. Optimism makes a person hope, love, or believe again. This practice shines a light on the impossible and brings the light back to things we gave up. ☀️

Illuminate brings me back to in fourth grade, when my sister was starting ninth grade. She started staying up later, and she had new friends, and whenever she was stressed out, I would stay away. What was I supposed to do? I had never really been stressed. But I'm here, now, stressing out about everything. I find myself surrounded in a world full of insecure people. Illuminate shines light (get it?) on the true beauty inside. Shine bright, and that is how I remember the definition. 🌠

Malice
The word itself sounds dreadful. I can somehow connect the word to this world. Its constantly changing because of the actions done by humanity. Malice reminds me of people who seek revenge to the ones who have made them suffer. People who don't think but just take action because they feel the need to.

When I think of notorious, I think of a criminal. Notorious just sounds like a not-so-pleasant word, you know? I think of a really dramatic villain in a really big, dark cape, very well-known for his evil tendencies. It reminds me of how many bad people there are in this world, and how so many are famous for being so bad.
