         Tim Meeker is Sam's 12 year old brother. He looks up to his brother and wishes he could be as daring and brave as Sam.
         Eliphalet Meeker is Sam and Tim's father. He is against this war and is also known as Life.
         Susanna Meeker is Tim and Sam's mother.
         Betsy Read is Sam Meeker´s girlfriend. She cares deeply for Sam.
         Colonel Read is Betsy´s father
         Tom Warrups is an Indian who helps Sam by letting Sam stay at his hut.
         Jerry Sanford is Tim´s friend
         Mr. Heron is the Meeker´s neighbor who is on the rebel side 
         General Putnam is a strict rebel general who has to ¨keep his soldiers in line¨.
         General Parsons is a nicer general and believes Sam is innocent.
         Mr Platt is a relative of the Meeker´s.
         Ezekiel Platt is Tim and Sam´s cousin.
