1. I used the reflector to reflect more light onto my picture because it was still a bit dark outside. I also edited the light to be a little brighter.
2. The shallow and medium depths of field are pretty different. The more shallow depth of field really focuses on the items you are trying to photograph, opposed to everything around it. The medium depth of field makes it more clear in the background making that a factor to consider in the photograph. In my personal opinion I would use f/8 compared to f/1.8. Although the background can be a problem, it can also bring the picture more together and make the colors stand out.
3. I learned that food photography is actually a lot more complicated than you would think. It also is not a huge deal if it tastes bad, or looks bad because it is for a more perfect picture. The detail in the back was harder to consider for me because I didn't realize it would show so much. Taking food pictures are so much more intricate than you'd ever think it was and it is very difficult if you don't know what you are doing. There are so many factors and it take a long time to perfectly capture a picture.
4. If i did this again I think I would make a different food or a variety because although when I thought of it, I thought I had a lot of ideas, I really didn't. I would also take a lot more angles than I did for a bigger variety of photos t chose from. If I could perfect it I would want to go on an ideal sunny day, so the lighting is better as well.
