         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Origin</strong><br>The kingdom of Ghana arose out of the relatively small 4th century agro-pastoral settlements in the region known as Awkar.<br><br>Between 300 - 1200 C.E.<br>Northern Ghana bordered on the Sahara, a center for the salt and gold trade.<br><br>They served as regulators of the salt trade for the north, gold for the south.<br>Ghana was founded<br>6 March 1957 arose out of the relatively small 4th century agro-pastoral settlements in the region known as Awkar.<br><br>Its name is so because it comes from the Soninké gajanŋa language 'king', and it was the title given to the kings or tribal chieftains of this medieval empire.<br><br><strong>geography</strong><br>It was located southeast of present-day Mauritania and part of Mali, south of the Sahara, in the middle valley of the Senegal River, in Africa.<br><br><br><strong>language<br></strong>adangme is a language spoken in the country currently english<br><strong><br>population<br></strong>had a population estimated at nearly 30,000, and in the smaller city of Audaghust.
