I finished my Master's degree in American History and Government from Ashland University, Ashland, Ohio on August 22, 2024.

Hobbies

I love to sew and embroider. I first learned when I was five years old by doing everything by hand. Today, I prefer using sewing and embroidery machines because I can make more items. This Halloween quilt, I made, was featured by a local quilt shop in 2020.

I was the 2024 NC James Madison Fellow. In December, I will attend the National Conference in Washington, DC as a House Delegate and as a presenter on my curriculum on "Women in Politics and Why We Need More". I love studying and teaching history.

I am married to a retired CMS band teacher. We have two children. Our son is an Executive Chef, and our daughter is a 1st grade teacher in CMS.

My little 9 lb. man, Ollie. He will be 9 years old in October. He loves to be the neighborhood watch, sun bathe, watch cartoons, and sometimes play with his sister, Newt. Most of the time, he just likes to chill and have his belly rubbed.
