How was it done?</div><ul><li>The children were taken by getting told that them and their mums were going up to Broom, but not far along the trip the mums were pushed out of the car and left with no children.</li></ul><div>5. Why was it done?</div><ul><li>Aboriginal children were taken away from their families because white people didn't believe in the future of Aborigines. The children that were often taken were under the age of 5 years old.</li></ul><div>6. How many children were taken?</div><ul><li>More than 6,200 children were stolen in NSW. Bonus. aboriginal kids were kept by the government and churches</li></ul><div><br>Other information</div><ul><li>Every state and territory had an organisation to help the children of the stolen generation find their family.</li><li>one in three indigenous kids where taken from their families between 1910 and the 1970's.</li></ul>]]></description>

What is a referendum?<br>it is when you get people on the street to sign a document for a vote to change something in the government.<br>3.  Describe what it was like in Australia in the 1960s? <br>The 1960s was a time for change  Australia and good for the Indigenous people to get the rights they deserve. it was a time where the Indigenous people had to fight very hard to get the rights they should have had a long time ago.<br><br>4. Did Aboriginal people have equal rights to other Australians in the 1960s?<br>in the early 1960s they didn't have the same rights but the Indigenous people fought for their rights and in 1967 the rights where given to the Indigenous Australians.<br>5.
