How do we use area models? How are are benchmarks, area models and number lines related to each other? Can you elaborate on the reason why people use combinations of benchmarks, area models, and, number lines to compare fractions? Apply information from one text (resource) to develop a persuasive argument of using a combination of benchmarks, area, models, and number lines should be used together or used in isolation.

We use area models to compare and to make comparing fractions easier and we use benchmark fractions to relate a fraction that is the same amount of the opposing benchmark fraction and they use a number line to put fraction data and then put the equivalent fraction on the fraction it is equal to mostly an equal benchmark fraction.Benchmarks, area models, and number lines should be used together because you can use area models to compare easily, put it on a number line, and use benchmarks to compare.
