1) Awareness: Agribusiness. Affect; A huge affect on areas of forest are burned or cleared to make space for crops and livestock. Alternative; Protecting local and native crops and livestock.
2) Awareness: Hydroelectric Dams; Affect; Hydroelectric dams can flood upstream forests, causing widespread forest loss, habitat degradation, and the displacement of forest communities. Alternative They need to find different place to put the Hydroelectric dams so itʻs not taking out native plants and animals.
3) Awareness: Roads; Affect; Building roads through forests and the landscape endangers wildlife habitat, making it easier for illegal loggers to exploit the forest. Alternative; Make roads around the amazing Forests to keep the habilitas and animals alive.

Awareness Issue 1: Wild Fires: Wild fires in Australia destroyed more than 27 million acres of land including forests. 480 million animals were either injured or killed.
Alternative: We can cut down on CO2 emissions to help prevent these types of fires from happening. We can also make sure that we don’t leave fires unattended and make sure to listen to the fire warnings during dry seasons.

Awareness Issue 2: Dumping Waste : Places like North-Eastern Romania illegally dump hundreds of tonnes of waste in forests. Animals come along and get stuck in bits of plastic and other get killed by suffocation from plastic bags. Others getting caught in pieces of waste.
Alternative: Recycle waste into new products to help cut down how much is wasted. Use alternative, sustainable resources such as reusable bags and aluminium/steel bottles. Turn waste into new materials that can be used for other products than its original use. Have a centre where waste is collected and safely stored to be recycled and reused that is open to the public.

Awareness Issue 3: Air Pollution: Since the Industrial Era pollution has increased a lot. A lot caused by humans. Hundred of animals get poisoned from air pollution. Many more are killed. Animals get more diseases and numbers of species drop by a significant amount.
Alternative: Cut down on CO2 and other toxins in the air by using environmentally friendly energy sources such as wind and solar energy. Convert from oil and gas to electric machinery and electric vehicles.

1) Awareness: logging. This removes trees and removes parts of native bush. AFFECT; This means there is less room for the animals that live in the bush meaning a reduce of wildlife.
2) Awareness: Settlement. People build houses and develop towns by clearing space by removing bush. AFFECT; This means that wildlife will reduce in numbers and less oxygen will be emitted by the bush.
3) Awareness: Dams. Building dams slows the flow of water down river and changes how deep the river is. AFFECT; This means that further down the river, the land will not get enough water to survive and therefor destroy bush.

Awareness issue 1; Over killing
The effect on over killing is that once the animal is dead its dead. If we (humans) over kill many species of our wildlife we might not know how much of that species is left. If we keep on over killing our animals then the animals become endangered.

Issue 2: Pests; the pests we have in New Zealand such as possums, Rats and stoats can kill some of our native animals like Kiwis an Wekas these birds can't fly so we need to get rid of the pests. Thankfully New Zealand is trying that and are making Marine reserves for the fish and Nature reserves. This is keeping our native wildlife up. If we weren't doing this there might not of been any more kiwis anymore.

Issue 3: Pollution; Some of the people in New Zealand dont care about the pollution they make per year. They leave carbon footprints every where and they even drop the Mc Donalds on the ground on the highway. this is disgusting these little prices of rubbish could take thousands of years to decompose. They are killing our animals and destroying our water ways. Plastics is a huge product in our water ways at the moment as they can look like food to animals and then those animals go and eat it then choke to death and die. New Zealand has some of the best wildlife habitat in the world and we want to keep that so dont drop your rubbish!

And it all goes to waste.
Q2) Some Environmental sustainability options are to use flax as bags which is a natural source and could save our planet.
Q3) Instead of plastic we are going to use flax like people did before plastic was even invented.
Q4) Some of the benefits of using this material is that it is a natural resource and could save our planet. If we keep this up we will make huge improvements in our waterways and in the air.
Q5) These flax bags were used as vegetable bags or the use we use plastic bags but hundreds of years ago this is how people used to work years ago.
Q6) Countdown is willing to supply these bags as this might bring in more customers and will help the enviroment.
