And then, Jonas finds the sled from his first memory, waiting for him at the top of the hill. They carry on with Jonas mind more alert then ever. But, because of his lack of strength of not eating, he couldn’t climb the hill. But Jonas won’t give up that easily. He tries a second time to climb the hill. He tried to get another warm feeling but his memories were fading and he couldn’t keep it with Gabriel. Jonas starts wishing that he stayed with The Giver to get more warmth memories. The memories of good times flooded him. (Memories) So, he keeps trying to climb the hill and gets to the top.

Jonas and Gabe are freezing cold as they flew down the large hill on Jonas’s fathers bike. All of a sudden, the bike stopped working. Jonas wanted so badly to fall down next to the bike. He then transmitted a memory of sunshine to Gabriel.
