In the pages I read today, the author was just introducing the characters and showing the reader their day to day lives; however, there are underlying secrets waiting to be discovered.

The beginning of this book has shown that something is very wrong. The characters are trying to piece together what is happening. I am most courious about what is happening to Gabrielle and why she is acting so crazy. She was found covered din blood next to their deceased principle. That makes me wonder what really happened.

Both have a lot of memory manipulation, psychological distress, and watchers involved.

Blythe dives deeper into the search for what is happening to her and her friends; she discovers that her own memories may have been intentionally altered, and that the school she's attending may be conducting an experiment on them.

The meme that I think represents the theme in this book is “Trust no body not even yourself”. This is because Blythe cant even trust her own self, her friends, or the school she attends.

After many feckless attempts of Blythe uncovering the truth she finally figured out her and her friends were a part of an experiment their school was doing; however, there was someone close to her that betrayed her and was a part of it.

A surprising twist that could have happened is that Blythe was created not born. She could have been living vicariously through someone else put into her. The experiment could have been to implant a whole new identity into a person and she was just a test subject. This would change the story because the question wouldn't be just who she is anymore but whether she was ever real to begin with.
