I used to draw my family together, and draw my parents on Mother’s and Father’s day. As I grew older, making art started to become a competition on who is faster at improving, who makes better art, and who is more skilled. When I found the internet, I saw there are more wonderful artists who are on a different level. It made me see that improving takes hard work and time is a factor that is always present. It made me reflect and realize that trying so hard to get better than everyone and being on top wasn’t worth it at all, it might make you feel nice to be up there but when you look around… you’re all alone, because there’s only one #1.
