A few years later in 1797, the bill of rights was added to the constitution. The bill of rights exists out of 10 amendments. The second amendment protects the right of the people to keep and bear arms. This amendment has caused a big conflict between those in favour and those against the law. The opponents see a firearm as a symbol for the American freedom. They also think it is necessary to have a firearm so they can protect themselves against criminals. The conservative Americans are also afraid of a strict and powerful government and want to protect themselves with the right to keep and bear arms. In the past years, the amount of deadly public shootings even increased. The public shooting with the most deaths recently happened in Las Vegas where 59 people got killed. Another public shooting happened this year on the 15th of February. The shooting happened at a school where 17 people got killed by the shooter. Because of the increase of these disasters, more and more Americans want stricter gun control laws. Although it’s not possible to change the second amendment, it is possible  to adjust the rules of firearms possession.

The terrorists hijacked four airplanes mid-flight. Two of those airplanes flew into two skyscrapers at the World Trade Canter. This enormous impact caused the skyscrapers to collapse. De third plane flew into a part of the Pentagon (the U.S. military headquarters) in Arlington, Virginia. The final plane crashed in Shanks Ville, Pennsylvania. It is believed that the terrorist wanted to destroy the White House or the U.S. Capitol. This was prevented by the passengers on the plane. The passengers fought the terrorists and because of they couldn’t reach the White House. The terrorist attack on the 11th of September got nearly 3,000 killed.
The terrorist attack was caused by  19 terrorists in total. The terrorist were member of the terrorist group Al Qaeda (ahl KAY-dah) and came from nations in the Middle East. The Leader of this terrorist group at that time was Osama bin Laden. Al Qaeda is intensely opposed to the United States of America and also other Western, democratisations. Al Qaeda doesn’t agree with the military interventions of America in the Arab nations. They do everything to get rid of the military presence of America in the Arab nations. The terrorist group is known for its attacks worldwide since the late 1980s.

This includes Americans that really do sports and Americans that like to watch sports. The most popular sports in America are Basketball,  American football and baseball. Football how we call it in Europe is way less popular in America than it is in Europe. Sports are a big part of life for a lot of Americans, it can be a huge dividing and uniting factor for the people. Americans also have a lot of television channels that only show sports all day long. Over 100 million people  watched the 2017 Super Bowl in America. Sports get a lot of attention in the media. This is also one of the reasons pro players become so popular and make so much money. It’s in the nature of the Americans to follow and love a sport.  

In the American sport culture,  people thrive on competition. Not only sports but universities also tend to be very competitive in America.  This is why parents prepare their kids early for the ad mission process. When you live in America you will definitely notice that a lot of Americans have a very ambitious attitude. If they want to accomplish something, they go for it.  Children are encouraged to do sports  at young age. It already starts with gymnastics in elementary school. This is good because doing sports is healthy for people. That’s also the main reason why you get to do sports your whole school period.

It’s  developed in a poor area of New York named The Bronx during the late 1970s. However it is still not clear whether Hip Hop started in the South or West Bronx. Hip Hop consists out of nine elements, four of these elements are crucial to understand hip hop musically. The four main elements are Rapping, Djing, b-boying and graffiti art. 

Hip Hop is not only music but also a movement that speaks up for the lower class of people in America. It’s because of Hip Hop that the lower class can raise their voice together to get attention. The first people that followed the Hip Hop movement were mainly African American. This is because a lot of African Americans lived and are still living in ghettos of the cities.  Hip Hop mainly focusses on the reality where the people live in. Members of the Hip Hop culture want to show what’s going on in their neighbourhoods so people start noticing what is really going on in America. For some people it’s hard to imagine how life in the ghetto must be. That’s why Hip Hop artists write raps about their struggles and situations they get in. 

Nowadays Hip Hop is everywhere all over the world. Almost every country has Hip Hop artists that make music and follow the movement. It has become a big part of the music scene in many countries.
