They couldn't have chocolate for six years because of the war. They also had rationing. Rationing was that they could only get a certain amount of food at a time. Many people didn't have enough if they had a large family.

Rosa's mother was English, and her father was German. They met in England, got married, and lived there. They had Rosa's older brother John. After World War I, they moved to southern Germany. then they had rosa in 1876

In 1935, Rosa got married to Dominic Buzzelli, an American soldier. Dominic Buzzelli, whom was stationed in Germany, got to go back to America when the war was over. So they moved to Detroit, Michigan. Rosa worked for the Michigan Blue Cross. She was 45 when she got into the workforce.

Rosa got a job, and with her money, she bought her mom a radio. They were not banned, but if caught listening to other countries' podcasts, they were thrown in jail. Rosa's mother listened anyway.

In 1933, Hitler became chancellor. The Nazis would storm and break down doors, break things, and take the Jews away. Many of Rosa's friends were told to take cloths, and meet at the train stop. They were never seen again. Jews owned many department stores, but because of Hitler, many Jews lost their jobs.

Rosa Marie Burger died on February 15, 2011. She died of old age. Rosa was 90 when she died.
