Furia is a story about how the main character, Camela, struggles to pursue her dreams, while being faced with stereotypes by her loved ones. Gender equality was a big problem that caused Camela to doubt herself and who she truly was as an individual. "I will break barriers and show the world that talent knows no gender. I am capable as anyone, and I will prove it on the field" (Mendez 231).

Theme #2 - Pursuing goals

The second theme of this story was how despite all of the struggles and setbacks Camela faced, she chased her goals because they meant something to her. She didn't let anyone get in the way of what she wanted for herself, and that was a big message of the book. "I will not let anyone tell me what I can or cannot achieve. My dreams are mine to pursue, and I will fight for them with all my strength" (Mendez 115).

I give it 3 stars out of 5 because it had a good message, but it was a bit bland to me. My favorite part of the story was the romance going on between Diego and Camela because it was like teenage love and gave a certain feeling to us as the audience. However, I didn't like how the story felt like it was repetitive and didn't have much excitement to me.
