Learning how to manage money is a huge concern because if students do not know how interest works, they can end up in debt and then they are slaves to the creditors in a way, just working and paying the bills with interest every month. Students should be aware that interest is either your friend or your enemy. Interest can make you money or it can keep you in a hole for a long time. Also, if students sign up for a high interest credit card and max it out, they do not realize that they are paying double for everything they buy if they have to pay all that interest. They are basically handing their hard earned money away.
