From this process it's good to maintain an open flow of communication so that the best results are achieved.

First draft was done in a way to stablish feel and style. At that point there was no face to the character Sybil. After the actress was assigned, I decided to create something from the reference images sent to me of the actress. The first image presents Sybil sitting, smoking a cigarette, based off the reference of a photo take of the actress sitting in that exact way. For this image I was trying to replicate the style of William with the lack of details in the face, however, the client did not like this so (as shown in the next image) I added eyes. With this addition I was finding it hard to continue with the piece and after discussion with the client we decided it would be best to leave this concept and start something new. 

Image three depicts a closer perspective of Sybil. Here she has her head angled back and seemingly looking down on the viewer. This concept started strong, however, there was a level of flatness to the face and not enough detail that replicated the image produced for William. From experience of the previous image, the client and I did not want to linger on this image too much in fear that it wouldn't develop in the way that we would want sybil to look so we moved on and decided to create a comparison concept. 

Image four was a very quick experiment to see if I could get a closer resemblance to the image a generated for William as the client really wanted that for Sybil. I stopped with this image due to the fact that I didn't feel confident in its appearance as well as the fact that it was leaning more towards a horror themed image, with the dark eyes and red features it was just not heading in the direction that the client was asking for. 
 
The fifth and final image is a close up of Sybil's My Time where Sybil is looking up at William after he confronts her. This image is not as developed as the other as this was also a tester of how sybil could look for the credits. The client was not keen on the close up and decided to scrap it. I was able to work on the set and shoot for the ITV show: Belgravia: Next Chapter, a historical drama set in the 19th century. I got a tour of the vicinity where I got to see multiple sets and studios as well as up coming productions being filmed in the studio.  

During my time there I worked within the production office producing letters that would be used on set the next day. The process involved making envelopes and printing, folding, and sticking letters within the envelopes. Approximately 50 letters were made for different scenes, some to be torn up and others to be open and read while also having others just be props. At the end of the day they were handed off to the head of the art department on set to be prepared for the next day of shooting.  

I got the privilege to be on set for a full day and get a detailed idea as to what happens on set for a TV production. I shadowed the head of the art department and got to see the workings and process that needs to be done for a shoot. I learned about set resets, looking out for continuity, learning certain calls and rolls, and much more. Near the end of the day I witnessed the letters I had made be put to use which was a strangely riveting experience. Seeing the work I had made be used on set filled me with a giddiness that I did not expect.
