A few weeks ago we did an activity in English about the environment. Each group
chose a story-telling and had to transform it into another story-telling that made
people aware of pollution.
To help us do this, the actor Vicens Cañón came to do a two-session workshop to
teach us how to improvise and adapt to the chosen character. It helped us a lot!
My group, for example, chose the SnowWhite story and we called it Snow White and
the 7 Containers.
To do this project we had to create a script, organize the places and costumes,
manage devices and a lot of creativity and imagination.
It took us three sessions to finish the script and once done we started recording. In
our first scenes we used a chroma key and for the others we used High School
places.
On the other hand, each character we played had a characteristic costume. The
costume of the SnowWhite was a blue T-shirt, a red bow and a yellow towel that was
her skirt. Instead, the 7 containers were dressed in the color that was assigned to
them, as for example, the plastic container was dressed in yellow, the glass
container was dressed in green ...
Once registered, I started editing using an editing application called "Movie".
For me it was a new experience and an opportunity to learn about other ways of
working as a team and learning from the world of theater.
