Nowadays the world is facing global challenges such as poverty, inequality, climate, etc. I believe that all 17 SDG’s are important; in order to achieve the UNDP vision, which aims creating a better future for everyone. Bahrain has made great effort in protecting the environment. For example, raising campaigns of sea cleaning, reduce the plastic bags consumption and many other initiatives. In my perspective Bahrain have to focus on protecting the life below the water, as it is a primary source of living for long time now.

As for bahrain, one of the  important goals is "climate change" , this is because global warming is a real issue ( someone should convince trump that it's a real thing) 
that has affected our climate drastically. 
moreover, "the life below water" is also relatively relevant to bahrain, since recently, according to various news sources, there has been an increase in the number dead sea creatures that are found on the shore or floating on the water, this includes sea turtles, DOLPHINS AND WHALES.

  •  What is the purpose of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)? 
    • The purpose is to save the word from the global issues like extreme poverty.
    There are three categories for the 17 sustainable development goals, and they are:
    community progress, financial development and environmental safety.  
     
    •  Based on your own experience, what initiatives in Bahrain are related to SDGs? 
    Bahrain has launched the National Information Committee, which includes some goals for the SDGs and relating them to the improvement programs like Bahrain Vision 2030 which is also related to the SDGs (Bahrain.bh, 2019).  However, on my experience I saw the ministry of youth how they deal with young and teenaged people to develop their creativity and hobbies like making youth city every summer holiday. Also, the ministry of education has provided the schools with teaching technology and improved the curriculum. 
    •  Which goal, in your opinion, is the most important for Bahrain and why? 
    In my opinion, the most important goal for Bahrain is goal number seven: affordable and clean energy, because Bahrain is depending on petrol, and since the amount of fuels is decreasing, Bahrain needs to transfer from gas cars to electronic. Moreover, the electricity of Bahrain needs to transfer from oil to alternative energy to save the costs of petrol.

    -The purpose of the SDGs is to help finish what they started in 2000 with the MDGs, although there was a successful progress as well as a lot of results were achieved but many more progress is left to be completed as the climate is changing, the planet is transforming, and the population is more than ever and everyone deserves to have enough of what they need, as well as the gias will help in a more healthy, sustainable and prosperous environment.

    -The initiatives in Bahrain that are related to SDGs in my opinion are quality education as that’s provided for free and the same with good healthing and well being. 

    ·   Which goal, in your opinion, is the most important for Bahrain and why? 
    -The most important goal for Bahrain on my opinion has to be decent work and economic growth. Many people in Bahrain struggle when it comes to employment as there aren’t enough chances for them to get employed, which results in graduates staying at home for a long period of time that can reach to years. Economic growth is a very important goal in my opinion that should be a top priority not only to Bahrain but all other countries.     A: the main purpose of 17 SDGs is to live in world with less poverty, provide high quality education and have less rates of illiteracy, eliminate contiguous and infectious sicknesses such HIV, making the world more environmentally aware and friendly. Moreover, these goals are the path to connect all three pillars within the countries: social progress, economical goals and environmental protection. 
    Q2: based on your experience, what is the initiative in Bahrain are related to SDGs? 
    A: Bahrain started Economic vision 2030 in order to achieve part of the SDGs and since a great economy is the foundation of providing all the sustainable goals. Because, great economy creates good opportunities, high level of education and verity of income sources and not just relying on hydrocarbonic sources. 
    Q3: which goal, in your opinion is the most important for Bahrain and why? 
    A: in my opinion, the most important goal at this moment is achieving economic growth since the country has been going through financial deficit since a long time and that can be fulfilled by applying the other goals such as high level of education build sustainable cities and communities.     Bahrain is initiating in quality education as it is a very important goal because if it will be done other goals will be done with it like decent work and economic growth. Also, Bahrain is initiating in gender equality as it give the same right for women and men for example, the women can open new business as well as the men.

    I think that the most important goal is decent work and economic growth because achieving it will achieve other SDG's goals like good health and well-being, quality education.

    1- The UN have decided on 17 SDGs that will help sustain resources for future generations and help minimize poverty and hunger and provide a higher standard of living by 2030.

    2- Bahrain is working on multiple goals and have provided the best healthcare and best education for free and forbidding charities for those in need.

    3- There are some goals that haven’t been achieved which is economic development as there are plenty of well qualified and highly educated people that are suffering from unemployment.

    Bahrain has already implemented  2030 vision to develop the lifestyle of people by using the aspect of SDG by improving in many ways such as reducing poverty by opening donations box  in every store , free education through government school to reduce the rate of illiterates and giving chances to fresh graduates for working experience through Tamkeen or any company internship to reduce the rate of unemployment, free health-care treatment for Bahrainis and increasing number of environment organisation to eliminate the risk of sea creatures e.g.-turtles.

    In my opinion , Bahrain should increase the medical care to people and also expats such as charging them at low cost for health care because most of them cannot afford it and also giving everyone in the opportunity to work in order to reduce the rate of unemployment and reduce poverty. Moreover, focus on being environment friendly to reduce the level of littering on beach to eliminate the risk of sea creatures.
