The song "hero"  is connected to the book hatchet. An example of this is, "And then a hero comes along with the strength to carry on" and in the book hatchet Brian survived 54 days by himself.  Another  example is, from the lyrics it says l "look inside yourself and be strong" and the connection between hatchet and "hero" is in hatchet,  we think theses two texts are connected because Brian try not to cry but stayed strong and resited crying.  look inside yourself and don't be afraid of what you are.
