Wells was a African American journalist who advocated against lynching, and was a seeker for women's equal rights, and say.  Wells grew up in the deep south in Mississippi, while growing up she faced countless racial discrimination that limited her from being a free American. I feel that she was the one that took all of the pressure compared to all of the other muckrakers. She had to deal with her parents and a sibling dying in a Yellow Fever outbreak and take care of the rest of her siblings at 16 years old and convinced a administrator that she was eighteen years old. Ida published a red record that let Americans know and become aware of the lynchings that were going on to predominantly African Americans. She's also a founder of the National Women's colored Association and a  founding member of the National Association of Colored People. Wells also called for president Woodrow Wilson to put an end to discriminary hiring practices in government jobs against women.  This is why I believe that Ida B.
