The woman soccer team has lost in their pay for equal pay rights. This law suit has been going on for some time now and was said to be getting better but maybe not how we where expecting it. As of last week a judge had dismissed mostly of their suit. This judge has found that woman soccer players where acutely getting paid MORE than male players. The U.S won ams soccer team argues that if they where under the same contract men they would have been paid more. This is obviously a though topic and is not 100% over. As well as not being able to leave our houses, we are not allowed to play sports. For some, it might have a bigger impact than others. In fact, I know about multiple people who have had to go without playing sports, especially soccer. A big problem in the world right now, besides the fact that soccer is not being played, is equal pay. This is a problem that has been going on for a while but has been more focused on when the people in power have the ability to spend more time focusing on it. This is affecting woman soccer. This is only because a federal judge has decided to complete a bias statement against the soccer players who happen to be women. Just before the shelter and place were announced, the federal judge had just announced that the U.S Women's soccer team was forbidden to continue on with a claim that they had announced as the Equal Pay Act. In my opinion, this is unfair in ways I cannot even imagine. Women work the same hours, they practice the same amount, and they play just as hard as men do. So they deserve to be paid equally. In 2020 this should not be an issue for anyone in or out of the soccer community. This issue needs to be dealt with before women soccer players start to be paid and start to play again.
