This was executed very well. We each made our own websites on our own computers and had to learn our way through it while we were being taught.

In high school, we used robots and an app on an iPad to learn how to code. This was all done well. My teacher started out by giving us the toy race cars and race tracks and told us to play with them. After about ten minutes, she asked us if we knew why or how they worked and then taught us about energy and the laws of motion. 

In elementary school, we were given a light bulb, a battery, and some wires and we were told to make the light bulb light up. Once some of us figured it out, we were taught what we actually did and how we did it. I do group work in almost all of my classes. I find it to be very beneficial because we get to share our ideas with each other and get to use our different skills to help us. 

I also did a lot of group work in middle school. In my pre-algebra class we were put into groups the first semester and stayed with that group until the end of the year. A lot of people didn't like it and found it unnecessary but I don't think it is. It shows us how we would use what we have learned in the real world. A lot of common core took place in math classes where we had to solve word problems on how we would tip at a restaurant. It uses real world problems and we have to give a solution. 

Recently, in one of my math classes, we learned how to find interest and work with money. This was very beneficial because a lot of us have to take out student loans and will have to pay them back. In this class we looked at student loans and tried to find the amount that the person would have to pay back in a certain amount of time.

She told me to write like I'm teaching someone that had never heard of the topic before. This was a goal I tried to complete each time I wrote a paper. This helped me better understand what I had learned while also showcasing that I had learned something. 

Another goal directed experience was participating in the science fair in middle school. We had to come up with experiments and find the end result, hoping it would match our hypothesis or in this situation, complete our goal.
